FeaturecastAskillz-poster-MEd

I was lucky enough to have been apart of the Rome Torti Cancer fund-raiser at Zuri night club a couple of weeks back and as well has having local support from some of Australia’s best djs & producers such as DJ Katch (Resin Dogs), D*Funk, Subzilla, Kenny Beeper and Dead Pixel it also had one of the best double headliners you’r likely to see with both A.Skillz and Featurecast giving their time, effort and abundance of club rocking prowess to this great cause. A big shout out has to go to Paul Master for putting on this stellar night.

[Premiere] Ephemerals – Easy Ain’t Nothin (Featurecast Remix)

artworks-000084879601-d79yb1-t500x500

The latest signing on the awesome Jalapeno Records is the laidback funk & soul sounds of The Ephemerals. With an all star line-up featuring former members of Keke Mokoro, Gene Dudley Group, Dakhla, Kalakuta Millionaires, Marvelous & Bombs, the band seriously know their stuff!

Lead singer Wolfgang Valbrun only began singing publicly three years ago but has risen sharply to become an in demand artist. The musicians in the band are all funk educated to the highest degree too, including blog regular Jimi Needles on the skins! The band are to release their debut LP Sept 1st 2014 via Jalapeno. Expect big things from the Ephemerals.

We have the slick Featurecast remix to premiere for you today. Mr ‘Cast takes things off the burner a touch from his most recent Ghetto Funk productions. Here he turns out a smooth as silk, jazzy hip hop interpretation which is one of those tracks you just cant help but nod your head to (or shake your ass, you know what I mean?). If you’re a fan of Featurecast or a fan of solid hip hop/funk music, you NEED this in your collection.

Also available is the Smoove remix which pumps up the funk to 10!

Release Date: 04/08/14
