Taxman continues to be amazing with a new EP for Playaz called ‘Scanners’
You really do get a diverse selection of DnB and (yes that’s right) even a bit of classic rolling intelligent Jungle on this incredible EP. Taxman is a known name in DnB circles. Lets say for a second, you’ve never heard any DnB until now, start here!!!
Those Brazilian bros, Jam Thieves surely have to be the Ronaldo and Neymar of DnB!!! They’re back to melt the goalposts once again with new LP ‘Hackers’ on Playaz Recordings!!!
So, we’re talking 12 tracks of face peeling minimal funk of the calibre we would naturally expect from this duo. Got some new speakers? Try out this bad boy on them!!! Whether you’re a one-foot skanker or a moshpit raver, these hard hitting tracks will ensure your feet stay well and truly off the ground!!!
Certified DnB bossmen, Annix provide the ammo for Playaz newest release. The title track, a collab with Teddy Killerz is lightning in a bottle at 170BPM. ‘Together’ offers no respite from the shock and awe, rather it continues to beat you up. ‘Run From The Gun’ is positively militant, the final dart to tranquilise you before dragging you to the ‘Slaughterhouse’ where the Ragga Twins await to chop you up!!!
Tyke is one of the most original and innovative producers in the DnB scene. While they are constantly busy smashing musical boundaries, a Tyke tune is never more than a few paces away from the floor at the rave/club.
So, when the news of a new LP by Tyke reaches us, we’re naturally very excited. And it fulfils all those hopes and dreams plus more!!!
Tracks like ‘Frequency Weapon’ are insanity in a bottle ready to infect ravers across the globe. As for our favourite? We love ‘Lose Control’ with the slow down/speed up drop midway and killer vocals from Daddy Earl.
They say nothing in life is certain but death and taxes, but Taxman’s success seemed just as certain from the outset. If you’ve been anywhere near a drum & bass dancefloor in the past couple of years then you know this man’s productions, and you’ll have been throwing your arms up and calling for DJs to reload his tracks on more than one occasion!
On this, his latest EP, entitled ‘Amended’, a hand-picked selection of these huge releases have been pulled together and remixed, reworked and VIP’ed for your dancefloor pleasure.
First up, Taxman gives ‘Too Bad’ the remix treatment, then Upgrade & Bass Brothers remix ‘Nightshade’ & ‘Original Ninja’ respectively in their own unmistakable styles. Last but definitely not least, Taxman steps in again to ‘VIP’ his classic ‘Creepshow’
This is yet another massive release from Taxman & Playaz Recordings that is sure to get the dancefloor dirty!
